Point of View
It's how I evaluate tradeoffs, communicate vision, and hold the bar for quality. I built the product case for two flagship Zoom features as a designer before taking the PM role to ship them. That's not a career detour — it's the method.
The best product decisions don't come from alignment meetings. They come from the people who can prototype the answer. I'd rather show you a working sketch than send you a deck.
Cross-functional leadership without direct reports means earning influence every day. I align engineers, designers, and data scientists by being the most prepared person in the room — and the one who'll prototype the answer when the meeting can't decide.
When timelines compress, quality is the first thing others cut. I'm the one who pushes back — and proposes the alternative that ships both fast and right.
On AI
Most “AI-first” products are AI-decorated.
A chatbot in the corner, a copilot narrating work the user was already doing. The model isn't changing the workflow.
The good ones disappear. Embedding AI well is a design problem before it's a model problem, and the PM's job is to decide which decisions stay human. Most AI features fail because they automated the wrong step — the one where the user's expertise was the actual work.
That's the standard guiding what we're building on Omni right now: the model proposes the audience, the planner reviews and adjusts the definition before launch, and success is measured by time-to-audience — not feature usage.
Track Record
Co-leading product on Omni's AI Audience Creation platform — the system Omnicom's planners use to build advertising audiences in minutes instead of days. Lead vision and roadmap for the Audience Console, partnering with engineering, UX, and data science to ship segmentation workflows at enterprise scale.
Owned the video production roadmap for Zoom Webinars and Zoom Events. Inherited an unrealistic single-product timeline; proposed a new strategy and shipped two products instead — Production Studio and Session Branding — aligning 5 engineering teams without direct authority. Both products are still flagship three years later. Built the case for Production Studio as a designer, then took the PM role to own the roadmap and ship it.
Partner at a product leadership consultancy. Selective practice work since 2012 — two to three engagements per year alongside FTE roles, end-to-end across health tech, biotech, translation, and analytics. Past clients include NuVasive, Thomas Conveyor, and early-stage startups across multiple sectors.
With Sandor I get to do the full arc — frame the problem, design the answer, ship it. The practice is where the designer-to-PM story is most honest.
Identified a sign-off bottleneck costing engineering teams hours per deployment cycle across Intuit's development organization. Designed and shipped a Slack-native approval flow that eliminated it — zero new infrastructure required.
Established the design and product foundation for Viridos' genomic research platform from the ground up — used by dozens of researchers, including Nobel laureates. Partnered with the steering committee on roadmap; built the design system, information architecture, and interaction patterns that supported the platform through its next major release.
Led the UX redesign of MyGreatCall.com's account management — the customer portal serving 1–2 million account holders across aging adults and caregivers. Improved learnability, reduced information overload, and validated the redesign through usability testing.
